Founded by Faadiela Ryklief, Rebuild For Change reflects her steadfast commitment to enhancing education, sport, and using art that encourages community engagement, and empowers underprivileged communities in South Africa. Working alongside co-founders Tahierah Ryklief and Aaron James Lewis, the non-profit company utilises their combined knowledge in education, psychology, art, and sports science to create the non-profit entity, Rebuild For Change. Caitlin Maledo and Cherezann Booysen serve on the Board of Directors, bringing their expertise and experience in youth development, media, and community needs.
Faadiela is the ultimate relationship-builder with stakeholders, community field work and facilitation. She has 35 years experience in Early Childhood Development (ECD). Formerly an ECD educator for two decades and now working with non-profits for 15 years. She is a certified Project Management graduate from Cornerstone Institution. Faadiela is a certified ECD educator, facilitator and assessor. Oh, and did we mention? She's a fierce angler on the side. Watch out, fish - Faadiela means business!
Tahierah's role includes developing policies and leading our community projects. With a solid 5-year background in sports and education, she volunteered her time spreading the joy of physical education and art in underserved schools. She has a Sport Science degree from Stellenbosch University and coaching certification. Did you know? She's not just about numbers and policies—she's also a pro at painting and mixed media art!
Aaron's role includes communicating with investors and stakeholders, leading daily operations and policy development. He's behind the company's social media and photography. With 4 years under his belt in international education, he has shared his expertise at various public and private institutions. He studied Psychology at Morehead State University in his home country the USA. Oh, and here's a cool fact: he's got some serious skills behind the lens!
Cherezann serves on the Board of Directors for Rebuild For Change, where her expertise in Early Childhood Development and mentoring greatly contributes to the nonprofit company's project development and implementation initiatives. As an ambassador for young mothers, she actively advocates for supportive parenting practices.
Caitlin serves on the Board of Directors for Rebuild For Change. As a radio news anchor and journalist, she leverages her extensive media experience to offer innovative insights that enhance the nonprofit company's media content and reach. Caitlin is a role model and a voice for the youth.
