ABOUT US
Welcome to Rebuild For Change, a nonprofit organisation founded in 2023 by Tahierah Ryklief, Faadiela Ryklief and Aaron Lewis. Our mission is rooted in a deep commitment to education, community engagement, and empowerment in disadvantaged areas throughout South Africa. Together, we combine our expertise in education, psychology, and sport science to create impactful initiatives that foster sustainable development.
Recognising the critical need for comprehensive community outreach, we have developed a unique four-tier methodology that integrates art, music and movement. This innovative framework serves as the foundation for our programs, designed to promote continuous growth and support, ultimately leading to enduring educational and developmental benefits.

Our projects target the most vulnerable communities, providing vital services that encourage positive change and nurture capable contributors to society. WHY SHOULD YOU INVEST IN US?
In the nonprofit industry, five major roles stand out as crucial to the development and well-being of communities, particularly in underserved areas like South Africa. These roles encompass employment, recreation, education, healthcare, and nutrition, each contributing to a holistic improvement in the quality of life for individuals and families.
Employment: Nonprofits play a vital role in job creation and skills development. By providing training programs and job placement services, we help individuals gain the skills necessary to secure stable employment, ultimately leading to financial independence and community growth.
Recreation: Access to recreational activities is essential for physical and mental well-being. We organise sports, arts, and cultural programs that promote healthy lifestyles, foster community cohesion, and provide safe spaces for youth to engage in positive activities.
Education: Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. We offer educational training to teachers, equip classrooms with essential resources, and develop holistic creative programs that ensure children and youth have access to quality education, empowering them to achieve their full potential and become future leaders.
Healthcare: We focus on improving healthcare access and mental health awareness in marginalised communities. We provide support with emotional development programs particularly with children and youth affected by gangsterism, poverty and violence in their community. We promote healing through creative programs that creates a safe space for them to navigate emotional trauma caused by socio-economic disparities and inequality.
Nutrition: Good nutrition is fundamental to healthy living. We address food insecurity by supporting school gardens and nutrition education programs, ensuring that schools, children and families have access to nutritious food, which is critical for physical and cognitive development.

Paint with Purpose
Embarking on a mission to harness the power of visual arts and melody, we aim to spark children's creativity and boost their emotional growth. Through the medium of paint, craft, and rhythm, we can unlock a world of free play, fostering a profound connection between emotion and creativity.
By providing a nurturing environment where children can explore and express their imaginations, we encourage them to discover their unique voices. Our programs are designed to be inclusive, ensuring that every child, regardless of background or ability, can participate and thrive.
Paint with Purpose was our inaugural project. Startup resources were sponsored by ChangeX International and The Lego Foundation. Thank you to the Heideveld ECD Forum for allowing Rebuild For Change to work with your principals, practitioners and children. Our goal is to visit more ECD facilities across the Western Cape, South Africa.
